Packard Automobile Classic Car Show at The Lutheran Theological Seminary Gettysburg

July 22, 2010 the Packard Automobile Classic Car Show at the Lutheran Theological Seminary, David decided almost last minute to take the whole day off to go to the show. Right after we bought the 55 Josh told us about the national Packard meet in Gettysburg in July. But we kinda forgot about it till he saw it on a forum he refers to when he needs an answer about the 55. It was a great show with a lovely historic setting, which I tried to include when ever I could.

He actually wanted his picture taken beside the sign, I added his first and middle name the sign provided the last!

The next set of pics are of an original 37 Packard, you can read the paper for its history.

We arrived right around 9 am and some were still prepping for the judging

I will upload more as time permits, I took over 200 photos, could have taken lots more.

I really want to thank you, I owned a 1955 Packard Clipper Constellation
Black and Yellow in 1964. I loved that car, it was stolen in 1967. That broke my heart. I never did find another one like it. But you posted a picture of one that looks just like it. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

David’s decision to take the day off for the car show was surely worth it. If I were him, I would do the same too! You just cannot see these classic beauties huddled together in an ordinary day. By the way, I love the hood ornaments! :]
