Dave Turns 55 With The 55

We all went to the Tropical Treat for Daves birthday. Where else to celebrate that a 50's era drive in, near hanover, known as "The Treat"

This photo I did a different editing on to give it an older look more like the early "60s"

I hate the wires so I edited them out!

Lavender Festival

On Friday, I went to a Lavender Festival in Fairfield, Pa a small town near Gettysburg. I heard of this last year but could not make it. The festival is held 3 days during the prime harvest of lavender. I was mainly there for the chance to photograph something different and beautiful.

They had pick your own lavender, which looked a lot of fun. I was there quite early so it wasn't really full yet. I spotted this lady gathering her lavender and loved the look of her hat!

It is definitely worth visiting again, they had workshops, lectures and such. I just bought myself a lavender plant. There was lots of lavender products for sale along with a variety of arts and crafts. I forgot to mention that is smelled great but I was sleepy the rest of the day! I now want to make Lavender cupcakes!

35th Annual Gettysburg Region Antique &Classic Auto Show

Last Saturday we spent the day at the Gettysburg Car show that was held at the Latimore Valley Fairgrounds in York Springs, PA

I like the leather straps holding down the hood, there was one holding down the trunk too. Not sure if they were stock or not?

The line of 55, 56, and 57"s

As we are sitting in the shade escaping the sun for awhile I still found something to click my shutter at!
